Actually he was 30 when he dressed up as aladdin and painted his face brown/black.  He was a school teacher then, attending some staff halloween party.  Which really if that were the only time he did it (painted his face brown/black to represent a fictional disney character) would have been ok.  But apparently he did the "black face" thing twice more after that( that we know of).  However he did publically apologize for all that and even said himself it was wrong of him to do it and he was ashamed ect ect.  To my knowledge he's never done the whole "black face" thing while Primeminister.  Media would have crucified him on spot if he did I'm sure. Andrew Scheer would be jumping right in to play Pilot at his crucifixion I'm sure anything to get votes in the Elections here in October.   Jagmeet Singh might jump in to as the one to drive in the first nail.  Politics man, insane business.

Ah ok..err..alright...er...well I don't know anymore what word is unoffensive to express understanding.  Really the "ok" hand gester is now racists???  Lord.

Actually wasn't the old Hitler Salute something the Nazis stole from the Ancient Romans?  If I'm not mistaken they also stole an ancient rune symbol and made it their Swastika.  Originally I think the Rune means victory or peace or something to that effect.  But now it's associated with the most evil organisation in history and so very offensive.

The Swastika is a Buddhist symbol and still widely used in the East, certainly in South Korea as the sign for a Buddhist temple. I think the straight arm salute was Roman, as was the fasces, which was a symbol of authority (from which we get the word "fascist").

One of my photos taken in South Korea a few years ago.

Nobody gives a fuck if you dressed up as Aladdin in 1998 when you were 15.

Unfortunately many people do, and they have the power and influence to destroy others' careers and reputations. That people with such values wield the influence that they do is one of the main reasons that I can't take claims of oppression by pet liberal groups seriously.

I don't think anybody cares, both sides just use it as a tool to hammer their opponents whenever they can.

In order for it to work as a tool to hammer opponents with, others have to care. Otherwise people wouldn't face social consequences when such behavior is "exposed."

I don't believe so. I don't believe that the majority of people care at all. If you held a vote on it it, it would never get supported by the majority of people. The "outrage" is manufactured in the media and supported by very vocal small minorities on both sides. And most of the employers are cutting ties with "the exposed" because their PR directors just want their name out of the media asap. And many people are afraid to be vocal about them not caring for the same reason. I do not believe that a lot of people genuinely care what costumes someone wore for Halloween 15 years ago when they where 16 years old. These campaigns are manufactured and made to work without most people giving a fuck about it.

I don’t use the OK hand sign because in Brazil it has a very different meaning (you are calling someone a cunt). I always use a thumbs up since moving there.

That's great but are you sure you are safe on all of your Halloween costume choices since birth?

I think so. The only time I ever used face paint was when I went as an alien. I was completely green. The rest of the time, I was usually something boring like a ballerina. I sometimes wear a medieval or Viking age costume, but my ancestry is mostly German and Norwegian, so no serious cultural appropriation.

I am still offended by you wearing the Viking costume (I can be since my heritage is more Scandinavian than yours). You also apparently find it OK to make fun of people suffering from hypochromic anemia who sometimes develop green skin tingle. And just because we haven't found the aliens yet, doesn't mean that it is OK to appropriate. Highly problematic.

Oh yeah... with every day world goes crazier and illogical as we couldn't imagine it could be...
But one pattern is stable - the old predictions go true again and again...
