[ The feed cuts on. Not with Peony's beautiful, charming face, but instead with the rather derp expression of one psyduck. It pretty much fills the whole screen with that horrible herpderp expression of it. And yes it's making noises.

Peony finally comes into focus as the screen moves back to him. ]

...What is this thing? It's been following

It's a Psyduck! They're... A little bit broken in the head until the evolve.

How are you doing?~ And how's Tear?

Well, Psyduck and Golduck have psychic powers... But when they're still Psyducks... [She coughs.] Chronic headaches and general lack of intelligence.

We're both great. [ At the mention of her name, Tear pokes her snout into the field of vision to give a small snort of a greeting. ]

... Oh. Is there any way to shake it?

[Midori giggles and gives the little pokemon a wave.] She has the cutest little nose, you know that?~

I'm honestly not sure... I mean, you could catch it, but if you don't like it much, that's probably not a good idea...

[Pause.]

Wait... I know that scenery... Are you in Cherrygrove?

I know she does. [ Peony grins and childishly brushes his nose against Tear's. It's cold and slightly wet but he doesn't care. She's affectionate and like a rappig so he's happy.

He sets her down after that so she can resume her midday snack. ]

I - Huh, oh, yeah, I guess I am. At least, that's what Jade said.

[Midori giggles. She doesn't judge at all- she does that sort of thing all the time with hers.] I think Johto picked the very best pokemon for you~

[Squee!] Oh man, I just got back to Cherrygrove! Where are you? I'll come say hi! [I need to make a post. /coughs]

Near the Pokemon Center. My friend's stopping in for a bit to rest and get a few things. So I've just been... looking around.

I grew up near an ocean, but it was iced over most of the time. Nothing too spectacular. These things, though? They're a definite marvel.

[ He shrugs and just... stares at that ball again. What do what do. ]

[WIDE EYES.] The ocean was iced over? How cold is it there?

Well, it was only frozen for about a hundred feet out. But it was enough. It got pretty cold there. We never really went out on it, though.
