Life is good... even during law school exams.

Update on my life:

(1) I got a job for the summer interning for a judge in Gulfport. This is fabulous news because (a) now I don't have to mass- mail judges for an internship, (b) judicial internships are great for resumes, and (c) my legal writing will get a lot better from all the memos I'll be writing.
It should be really interesting because circuit courts in mississippi are the trial courts for both criminal and civil cases, and considering the post- Katrina culture on the the coast, this could involve all sorts of stuff.

(2) I thought I was going to visit Jackson right after finals, but it turns out that I have a week less off of school than I thought I did. So... instead I'm working with NOLAC [New Orleans Legal Assistance Corporation] the week after exams, then maybe visiting Jackson, then going to Virginia to see Shelby and Zheng in between their shifts at respective hospitals for 5 days.

(3) I have an exam tomorrow and two more next week. I had the first one on Monday. These are no fun, but I just might survive them. Plus, it's satsuma season and this makes me immeasurably happy: I rode my bike from school to Whole Foods for dinner with a couple of friends after studying for Civil Procedure this evening. It was nice. I ate two satsumas and had a jasmine green tea, which was phenomenal.

(4) My landlords' dogs are here, which is a pain sometimes, but other times (like now) it's really nice to have all these guys lounging around the house with me. They sleep in the bed with Lilly and me and I don't even have to turn the heat on.

(5) My new computer arrived over Thanksgiving break and it's a lot of fun. Thank Hashem for extra computer loans in grad school.

(6) Has anyone else discovered that Sam's Club now sells 20 packs of VItamin Water? It's amazing.
