The "Boycott Sochi 2014" campaign has now tumultuously spread to Russian Vodka and Russian products in general, as a result I am becoming increasingly homophobic.
I wish every country in the world would hurry up and and support the LGBT community so they will all just shut up and fuck off! I have considered turning off the internet and walking away until it all blows over... but it won't, and even if I did, THEY'RE EVERYWHERE! This week is Gay Pride week in Amsterdam, yes, a whole week dedicated to the gays. But why? Homosexuals have full equal rights here in the Netherlands, they can marry, adopt and even legally fuck each other in public parks if they are so inclined (the latter was legalized to encourage victims of abuse to come forward). Technically here in the Netherlands the heterosexual community has bowed to meet every desire and whim of the Dutch LGBT community to the point where many are walking on eggshells in fear of upsetting the pink population. So what is the point of Pride? To rub people's noses in it?
This has to stop, and it has to stop NOW. Gay pride is great and was fair enough when homosexuals were fighting for equality, and to be honest there is no harm in holding a giant celebration of one's sexuality when it is not at the expense of others, (but in the interest of equality, when is Straight Pride Day?). When I was 18 I went to my first Gay Pride March in London, at the time we were protesting the age of sexual consent for homosexuals in the UK, which has since been reduced from 21 to 16. We were marching for the acceptance and equality we have now achieved. People used to moan about a shortage of gay bars and facilities. Now facilities have been provided and are being enjoyed by everyone I hear statements such as; "it used to be good, but now it's full of breeders!" [gag]
Constantly pushing an agenda down people's throats, especially when said people have already given in to your demands, is not going to continue to promote positive public opinions. We are slowly but surely pissing people off.

Ordinarily supportive people of the LGBT community are losing their patience. People who have never even considered homophobia are slowly turning away from the gay community. People are leaving messages in forums along the lines of "enough is enough" and I agree. The gay community who were once the victims of bullying and who in some countries still are, are now guilty themselves of the very same thing. Perez Hilton frontlines the "It Gets Better" campaign while making a living off gossiping about people (he believes) to be worse off than himself.
But then the American LGBT community is the worst, and I will go as far as to say they are the most damaging. To be honest they are as bad as the American government when it comes to interfering in issues they do not understand and haphazard attempts at policing the world in an attempt to encourage force other nations to adopt their policies and/or opinions.
The current Vodka Boycott which was the initiation of the poisonous fag that is Dan Savage is a perfect example of this. Seriously America... do you honestly think that the Putin administration gives a rat's ass what vodka you drink? Do you really think targeting a company that openly supports equality is the right way to gain respect? Do you honestly believe that the Russian LGBT community is currently benefitting from your armchair slaktivism? Of course not, on all counts! In fact, encouraging xenophobia will no doubt be counter productive in the end. But I guess that's fine so long as you can all continue to blindly pat yourselves on the back for caring and making the world a better place.
Do you think if the world had stopped drinking Skyy Vodka the Bush administration would have retracted plans to invade Iraq? Or perhaps the government would have thrown out California's Proposition 8 bill sooner if people in Russia stopped eating Heinz soup? Of course they fucking wouldn't. It is probably no coincidence that Skyy Vodka's current advertising campaign is headlined "Cheers to Equality" against a stars and stripes background with the slogan "American Made" underneath.
The Gays are lapping this up and smugly drinking Skyy Vodka by the bucket load, meanwhile Russian homosexuals are still being beaten, the laws stay the same and no one sees the irony. I am still on the fence about who is the most foolish, Dan Savage for initiating such a futile campaign in my name. Or the scores of gay sheep posting and sharing his lame manifesto on social networking sites. Same sex marriage is currently illegal in Georgia, yet I'm sure Dan Savage still enjoys a frosty Coke float when he's in the ATL.
Of course, there is one minor fact that is being conveniently overlooked.
