Having found a nice little patch of sunlight somewhere out on the lawn, Miranda is sitting cross-legged in the grass with a great book open on her lap. She is bent over it, clearly quite absorbed, silently moving her lips along with the words. Perhaps surprisingly, she reads quite quickly, and is a fair way through the volume on her lap.

Cyrano might come strolling out of the Mansion eventually, and smile as he sees her.

He'll pause and wait for her to be done before he speaks.

In that case, he may be waiting quite a while...

He's of a patient sort, these days.

Well, she looks up eventually and starts when she sees him standing there.

"I didn't mean to scare you." He smiles. "You were so engrossed in your reading..."

"Pardon me, sir," she says, embarrassed.

"Oh, no, not at all." He smiles. "I have respect for such endeavours - that is why I was waiting."

He nods, smiling. "I'd not seen you in a while - so when I noticed you were here, I couldn't help but wait, and take your news. How have you been?"

He grins. "I'm glad to hear that, Mademoiselle Miranda. Your rose-petal complexion is not marred by tears this day, which fills me with joy."

She looks down, a bit embarrassed. "Surely, sir, I do not so often weep?"

"No, not so often, but I would rather you did not ever. Eyes clear as yours are not made for chagrin, but for glee, rather."
