Cycle 17... nail in the coffin?

Yeah, I know to many of you America's Next Top Model is dead in your book long long time ago, and you don't give a damn about it anymore... but to me as a viewer of the show from Cycle 1, witnessing its reputation going down the drain (Cycle 7 and Cycle 12 were especially horrendous with the cheap photo shoots... although I must say our adorable Allison kinda saved Cycle 12), and then the show kind of redeemed itself from Cycle 13 with the more "normal" yet interesting photo shoots, Vogue Italia, and occasionally producing some girls with potential like Nicole Fox and Ann Ward... I'm a bit disappointed after reading the list of 'stars' of Cycle 17.

Cycle 17 seems to depend too much on the crazy bitch / bitchy bitch factor rather than potential. Models might be crazy / bitchy, but I don't think girls who carry themselves foolishly on national television are anywhere close to real models (America's Next Top Model is not about producing real models, I know, I know). It seems that this 'all-star' cycle has ruined all that little legitimacy the show has built over the past few cycles. It would be good TV for sure, but honestly I would rather see girls with potential being given a second chance rather than the drama.

Okay, end of rant time. Team Allison anyway! I'm glad to see my baby on TV again!
