Sure, but I'm more likely to pick up an eyeshadow if the model in the shot seems to be at least present, instead of just kind of hanging around, staring vacantly. Of course, what represents "present" is very subjective, but I wouldn't say that there shouldn't be some kind of a balance between selling the garment and selling yourself. (Haha, that sounds so wrong! But you get what I mean, I hope, even if I'm not super eloquent this early in the morning.)

What gets me more is how the judges and their advice have a way of coming off as very self-contradictory. I'm not sure if it was in this episode, but I know that it's irked me before how sometimes it's the garment that's not "sold" enough, sometimes the model's face - and don't get me started on telling a story, though that's not contradictory, just virtually impossible without captions. Relaying the sense of a story, maybe. Telling a story, no. SORRY. I don't know why I'm so pet peevy all of a sudden.

The thing is, though, to come back to your original comment, that they were all about Raina and Alex and Krista for having a strong face along with a sense of movement in the garment, and I'm okay with that. They were also fairly consistent in disliking the shots of Alasia, Jessica and Angelea for not having strong faces. Now, you can debate what constitutes a 'strong' face - and how important it is in a shot - but I think I'd have been more upset on Jessica's behalf if the others hadn't been dinged for the same fault, or if someone had been praised for having a strong face but chastised for losing the drama of the dress, like some kind of opposite-day-shenanigans.

(Jeez, this was a long comment. I'm not over-invested or anything. ;D)
