I love all the little tweenagers responding to this post who are screaming "zomg lyke nigel is old!" Because, you know, the Jonas Brothers are true sex symbols. Who have yet to hit puberty. *raaalph*

Most of the negativity with Nigel has to do with his arrogantness. Most of us Nigel haters couldn't care less about how old he is!

I didn't realize the Nigel haters in this group know him personally and interact that closely with him on a regular basis to know that he's arrogant. I'm jealous.

The way Nigel presents himself on the show seems very arrogant and that's why a lot of us don't like him.

That's how the writers, directors, and producers present him at times, yes. They present Tyra, the Jays, and Paulina as far more arrogant -- but in the end, its not who any of them really are. They're playing characters of themselves.

You just said you're jealous because you don't know him personally and interact closely with him on a regular basis, and yet... you're convinced he's not arrogant and playing a character? As you said, no one who doesn't know Nigel can know how he truly acts. He has seemed to be arrogant many times on the show. You are right, though, that so have the other judges, as well.

Also, I don't think finding Nigel a bit arrogant and not particularly sexy makes the people here "Nigel haters." I agree with their comments about him and I like him well enough.

I didn't say I'm convinced he's not arrogant. For all I know, he calls all women cunts and kicks every baby he sees. My point was simply that no one knows unless they know him personally. Same with the rest of the judges, which is why I don't join in on Tyra-bashing even though I don't particularly like her (I don't dislike her either.)

I didn't coin the phrase "Nigel haters." Someone who had called him arrogant did.

and how do you know how arrogant he is or is not? you don't know nigel either, so how do you know if he isn't arrogant? all we know about nigel is what we see on the show, and add that to his ugliness and we have our opinions.

Oh, you're right. I don't know him from a hole in the wall. For all I know, he eats model's babies for breakfast. My point to the other person was that she can't judge someone's personality based on what she's seen of them on television because that's not really them. He's acting based on what The Powers That Be told him to do.

Sidenote: If what you say he comes off as is true, its typically British. They're all about propriety and not having lines crossed (most of them anyway, of course not all of them.)
