I thought it was a fun photoshoot, very silly. But not... idk. Not top model or glam or high fashion or anything at all. It's like, what can you say about it? I don't think it has much to do with modelling, or there's not much to critique on, besides their "acting" skills, I guess. I dont' know. I thought it was a fun idea, but it doesn't feel like a real "photoshoot."
ANTM likes for each week to have a certain theme about it.. sometimes, it's in the photoshoots, sometimes not... But I think this photoshoot fed well into the theme, and it was interesting and guaged their acting talents..
Although it's not realistically a photoshoot, it was good fun, a great laugh, and FINALLY pulled something out of some of the girls who have been dragging behind.
i wonder if covergirl is really the best launchpad for a high fashion career. surely contracts with big fashion housis like chanel, YSL, etc would be more conducive?
Actually, big fashion houses are VERY picky about their models. Look through a magazine, all the ads for the fashion houses you named picked models who simply are very NOW. They embody a feeling and an expertise which I think new models cannot capture.
To me, I think its a really bad idea for someone who seriously wants to model to appear on this show. Its better to be something of a mystery, a blank canvas, so the model can embody the concept of the product/design line they're supposed to represent.
When a girl shows up on a show like this, they develop a public personality that can clash with the concept/theme of products they would otherwise be representing.
I don't think it has to do with a model being new...its just that this show never picks girls that represent current trends. These girls don't have the right look.
