To think that my suspicions were correct... There was honestly no other explanation, but it's a good thing that you had this done for her. She's a wonderful child, and she reminds me a lot of my little sister when she was that age. There's no need for her being exposed to such coarse language at her age.

[He recognizes the face sooner than he does the voice - Lelouch has been around, but not exactly vocal. Funny, that Nanako would seem to draw him out of that.

Regardless, Souji greets him with a small smile.]

Mm. I'm glad it seems to be working well, at least.

[He remembers, vaguely, when Lelouch was here before. There'd been a girl with him then, hadn't there? The sister he spoke of. Nanako might not be his sister by blood, but that's still how he thinks of her, and while he'd rather she was home, there's part of him that's glad he gets to see her again.

Ah, I've spoken with Karkat once. He's... [A pause, a slight grimace] an interesting individual, to say the least. I'm afraid I don't know very much about him.

Though, I find myself with little to occupy myself. I was kept busy every waking hour before I arrived in Demeleier, and now I'm not really sure what options I have.

Well, what sort of skills do you have? What would you be interested in doing?

Ah, I do enjoy cooking... and I can sew, but it's not one of my favorite activities. [A brief pause] I enjoyed riding horses when I had the opportunity at home and I always welcome a game of chess.

Sewing is always something that comes in handy - maybe not at the moment, though.

[He smiles, small but friendly.]

If you're any good at cooking, I'm sure we'd love to have you helping at the inn.

I suppose my cooking skills are above average... I would be willing to help wherever I'm needed, I'm used to being bossed around thanks to my position in the student council.

The inn would be a good start, then. There's always at least one person there, keeping an eye on things and working in the kitchen.
