[ It's impossible to miss the edge to Souji's voice. It reinforces the allegations made against Adachi and brings to mind the image of a balance swayed horrendously to one unfavorable side. She thinks that must be the case in Souji's mind. Why else would he be so quick to contact her after seeing Adachi's state over the communicator? There's something he's looking for, something he needs to know, and the matter is urgent. She understands that much.

Standing with her back to the hut's door and her eyes to the village, she briefly contemplates how best to answer Souji's inquiry. She wants to say that Adachi is 'stable,' but more often than not, he's... somewhere else, completely and utterly distracted from the present. By what, she doesn't know; she can guess, but nowhere near accurately enough to be any real help to him, so when she speaks, she speaks softly, quietly. ]

I don't think I'm going to be able to leave him on his own for a while, Souji. I don't think I can trust him to eat if I'm not here, let alone sleep or do anything else to take care of himself. He's in pretty bad shape.
