BAJA CALIFORNIA 1ST PART

Mar 20, 2014 21:43

I can't believe it has been almost a week since I was in a trip at Baja California: Mexicali, Tijuana and Ensenada. One of the most interesting and enjoyables I've ever had.

It all started in my very first airplane flight (yeah), I was excited more than I was nervous. It feels so weird when you frequently realize you're too vulnerable inside a plane that is way too far from the ground, flying. And I'm sorry, I had to take a pic of this first experience (lol).

We arrived to Mexicali, an arid city with a small airport. Santiago awaited for us.

The next day we hit the road through La Rumorosa, a lot of curves and a beautiful rocky view.

So we arrived to Tijuana! Eli received us with a common snack in town, "saladitos" with orange, fresh and bittersweet.

Experiencing Tijuana's nightlife is frenetic and exciting, a lot of places to go and get all weirded out, even scared. La Estrella was my favourite one.

The next day, Gigantic Jesus in our way to Ensenada, they told me an eccentric gentleman wanted to feel secure in his home so he sorted out to build a big Jesus above his roof.

This is Tara, a Buddhist Goddess in the highest spot of the city, which is supposedly placed to look at her "sister" at the Tibet.

Me and my homms, chilling.

End of part 1.
