Second Journal Entry

Dec 05, 2009 20:29

I've been exploring and researching as much as I can on my own, but I've been told there are others who have been investigating as well. Seeing as you've been here much longer than I have -- have you found anything? I have just as many questions as when I started, if not more ( Read more... )

[aww notdad.]

Do you think there's anyone here from Azeroth?

I'm not sure, so that's why I'm asking.

Azeroth? Is that what your home is called?

[Nodnod.]

My mother and uncle were born on Outland - Draenor - but I was born on Azeroth. Near Stormwind, I think. But now were on "Earth", right?

Are those... planets? Countries? [Not that he's buying this whole "different worlds" thing just yet.]

And Mayfield is pretending to be in America, apparently, so I suppose so.

Planets. Well, Outland's not really a planet anymore. Just what's left of it, I guess...[HE TOTALLY DOES. .D. It's canon.]

Oh.

[blink.]

Is America a country?

[Tell me more, notdad.]

America is a country, yes. I'm not American, though, so I'm not the best choice to tell you about it. You might ask over the phones, though.

What happened to Outland?

Oh. [He shifts a little and looks at him, full of questions. He's always been curious. And he likes talking. But he hopes he's not being annoying.] Where are you from...?

[pause to scratch his head.]

It was ripped apart by magical energies...and war, really. Then it was thrown into the Twisting Nether. It's kind of more of collecting of floating rocks than a planet now.

It's called England. I can tell you about that, if you'd like.

Magic, twisting nether? I've heard of the first, but really, what are those?

[...:3 face.]

I'd like that. I like learning things. And - well...

[He pauses. "What is magic"? Oh, right, some people weren't raised by a zombie mage.]

Magic is the ever-present energy that permeates the world.

[Textbook answer.]

There are lots of forms and ways to use it, but it all came from the Well of Eternity...at least on Azeroth. The orcs on Draenor got their magic from demons, I guess.

[He swings his legs a little.]

The Twisting Nether is another dimension. It crosses with ours, sometimes, but mostly it's just chaotic and hard to get to.

[He's been there. It was a trip, man.]

...Your home sounds quite interesting. Perhaps you could tell me about it if I tell you what I know about Earth?

[Oh, there was something he wanted to say.]

And I'll help. With figuring out how to get us back to our homes.

[This is earnest face. He's always wanted to be a hero.]

We're all in this together.

[Speaking of together...the boy glances over at the drone sister's door. He's not quite sure he understands her yet.]

Hershel, sir? Are...all girls like that?
