suuuper long...
This weekend was youth conference which consisted of going friday night from 7-11 and saturday from 10-10. I have been looking forward to this for quite a while, especially because it would be a fun weekend right after finals. I wanted to look all pretty and whatnot, so i spent the 2 1/2 hours it takes to curl my hair. First off, we had a speaker who talked about music and it was alright and then we had a dance. it was kind of a lame dance because it was pretty much just our stake, and usually the ones i go to have like 10 stakes, and there were only like 20 other people not from our stake. there were about 15 slow songs, which pretty much everyone wasnt happy with, but not gonna lie, i didnt mind it most of the time. of course, it would have been more fun if there were a ton of cute guys, cuz then i would have more chances to be asked. but with just our stake, it was alright. ther music wasnt amazing, but we made it fun. the first guy i dance with was this freshman named andrew and he is the most fricken hilarious kid you will ever meet in your entire life, i swear. this older brother is fricken hot and i was totally hoping that he would ask me to dance, but he fricken never did. oh well. then i danced with jordan, the guy i went to winterball with brother, and he is pretty cute. there was a hola hoop contest, and that was pretty sweet. then i was talking to meghan and will, they are both in my seminary class and their going out and i heck of like both of them, anyways we were talking about mormon prom and i was talking about how there was no one to go with, except i was really hoping that will's best friend would ask me. but then meghan was like "does david still have a girlfriend?" and i was thinking omg since when does he had a girlfriend, but i guess he still has one but shes not mormon or anything, so there went my only potential prom date. but i was like oh well, whatever, i was kind of bummed but it didnt matter. anyway, then one of the next slow songs, david came over and asked me to dance. so we were dancing and talking and then i realized, oh my goodness, this kid is fricken amazing and when did he get so cute? yeah, so then i was fricken screwed cuz then i liked this kid who has a girlfriend, which is never ever a good thing. seriously though, we both have the same sense of humor and ahhhhh i couldnt believe myself. but once the thought popped into my head, it stuck. crap.
that night i slept over at ashleys, with brittany, brandon, and jordan. we were watching a movie and everyone fell asleep except for me and jordan. then i got so tired i went to go to bed, and i went into ashleys room and ferf was in her bed so i was like frick, i wanted to sleep there. so i went into ashley's old room and just got in bed. i must have just fallen asleep when i felt someone feeling around me, and it was jordan and i was like "oh, im sorry, did you want to sleep here?" and he was like "no its cool....sorry i couldnt tell if anyone was in the bed" i thought it was heck of funny.
the next day we got there at ten and had another speaker. joyous. then we did a service project and lunch. we were making these drums for music for minors and we were painting them. and there was this drum what was made out of a quaker oats container and the quaker dude on it and so i painted the whole container except around that dude's face, it was heck of funny. then we went to ohlone for a tour of their like news technical-ish and it was kind of cool i guess, since thats kind of what i want to do. then we had classes. we went to ashley's dad's class first and it was heck of cool. then just charlotte and i left the group we were with and went to karynn perry's mom's class about friendship. we did a "speed friendship" thing where there were 2 rows of chairs facing eachother and we had a list of ?s that we'd ask the person opposite us and after about 1 1/2 mins they would move to the next person and you would switch who asked the ?s. well it just so happened that i ended up sitting next to david : ) and no one sat infront of me so i was like "i dont have a friend" and david was all "ill be your friend sarah" which of course was followed by a chorus of "ahhh" in my head. one of the ?'s was if you could eat lunch with anyone dead or alive who would it be, and i said jesse mccartney. well david heard that so he laughed and he was like "oh my gosh" and then he turned to his person and said "ill say what sarah said" and we laughed and then he said "no im just kidding, uhhh abraham lincoln." and i was like "abraham lincoln, what the heck?" and he was like "hey, he single-handedly,... " and i was like "...did something.." and he was like "yeah exactly!" it was pretty funny. then we had a talent show and craig perry is a fricken stud. he has a band but he totally lead the band and can sing and play guitar like no other, it was awesome. everyone in the talent show did so well. then we ate and hung out for a little while. that was when i told kayla about david and she said she had always liked him from afar. the only other person who knew was charlotte. so then kayla and i played around, fantasizing and being stupid girls. then we had testimony meeting and i didnt think i would bear my testimoney but i did and i felt really good about it. then david went up and he did heck of good, and kayla bent down and made a face at me when he was coming back to his seat it was funny. then every single one of the guys got up, it was so cool. then we had desert, and hang out with more people...overall it was fun to be with everyone...but man, i am pretty upset with myself about some ish...
