I like that your Suzie is a planner, even as she's going crazy. I could totally see her doing this. And I liked the connection between the opening bit and the ending bit.

(Btw, I think there's a "to" missing in the second sentence between "was" and "be" -- you could pop it in and take out Owen's last name to maintain your word count. Just a suggestion!)
