“You are entitled to celebrate your half-birthday- - the day exactly six months after your official birthday.” Jack said while he sat in the chair next to the hospital bed.
“Bollocks, if you ask me,” James Elton replied, his eyes focused on the ceiling. His mind was making lists distracting him from Jack’s thoughts speaking clearly. Even if he could hear people’s thoughts, right now he couldn’t control it.
“I’m not sure if I agree,” Jack replied with a smile.
“You do, just don’t want to admit it,” James said looking over, his eyes solely staring into Jack’s. Jack gave a smile and sat back.
“I’m still confused as to why you can hear my thoughts.” Jack confessed standing up and walking towards the entrance of the room. “You’re not supposed to.”
“I can’t explain it either Jack.” James admitted looking back up at the ceiling. “Seriously you should stop thinking about Ianto.”
“Oh, now I so want to know what I’m thinking.” Jack said sitting back down again. James rolled his eyes and refused to meet Jack’s gaze. Jack noticed the redness creeping up on James’ cheeks.
“Jack seriously you should stop thinking about sex,” James warned, “Especially when the head injury is causing the telepathy to haywire.”
“Oh sorry, now this is getting very interesting.” Jack said with a laugh, “You blush when someone is thinking about sex, ok then what am I thinking?”
James didn’t reply because Ianto had appeared at the door with two Styrofoam cups of coffee. He saw the redness on James’ cheeks and the seductive grin on Jack’s face.
“Alright what’s going on in here?” Ianto asked rather confused. Jack stood up and took the cup from his lover’s hands.
“Could you tell Jack to stop thinking about sex?” James asked Ianto, “He’s doing it on purpose because of my head injury.”
Ianto looked at Jack before turning back to James. “Sorry I can’t that’s crazy.”
Jack put his arm around Ianto, “Define crazy.”
