Jack smiled as he sat up. “Sorry this isn’t what it looks like, first minute I was enjoying a nice cup of coffee at the hub, next thing I know a bright light appeared and here I am.”
“Who the hell is this?” Donna Noble asked quite curious and at the same time very pleased to see a very handsome man.
“Donna Noble, meet Captain Jack Harkness. He’s supposed to be in Cardiff.” The Doctor replied with a frown. “Just don’t get to close.”
“Why, he looks harmless enough.” Donna said looking him over with a smile on her face.
“Jack, this is Donna Noble.” He said when he saw Jack’s eyes wandering over Donna. “Just behave alright.”
“You have nothing to worry about Doctor, I’m too pissed off right now.” Jack replied standing up.
“What’s going on over here?” Ford asked as he and Arthur walked over. “Oh god, not you again!” He groaned when he saw Captain Jack Harkness.
“Oh hello Ford, fancy seeing you here.” Jack said when he saw Ford. “And I see that you’ve got yourself a friend.”
“Yes he has and he’s just told me that the earth is mostly harmless.” Arthur said quite miserably.
Just then they heard the sound of steel-tipped boots marching just outside the door.
“If we are lucky then it’s the Vogons come to throw us off the ship. “Ford said to Arthur.
“Sorry we have to go.” The Doctor told them quickly before running off to hide in the Tardis with Donna and Jack.
“And if we’re unlucky?” Arthur asked as he watched the three of them run off.
“If we’re unlucky, the captain might be serious in his threat that he’s going to read us some of his poetry first.” Ford replied rather grimly.
“How do you know Ford Prefect?” The Doctor asked Jack as he shut the doors of the Tardis.
