Thoughts on "The Eleventh Hour" or how I met Eleven

Last night was the Australian premiere of "The Eleventh Hour" on the ABC. I enjoyed it so much that I saw it twice. Here are my thoughts on this wonderful episode:
  • It was a very fun episode.
  • Loved the new take on the Doctor Who theme. It has a very Classic Who feel to it.
  • The food scene was very funny. Yeah beans are evil (COE taught me that). I love that he told the bread with butter to stay out and the Fish Fingers with custard was just plain wrong.
  • Amelia Pond/ Amy looked quite good in a police uniform and I didn't mind that she was kissogram. It was interesting how she was introduced as the new companion. It sort of reminded me of The Girl in the Fireplace. Ok a little different but quite similar in some ways.
  • There was no ducks in the duck pond. And it seems the crack will feature heavily in this series.
  • Matt Smith did a good job as Eleven, it's early days but I'm sure that he will do a fantastic job in the episodes to come.
  • He called the Tardis, "Oh You Sexy Thing." Which really made me grin and Eleven even called her Dear after he gets his new sonic screwdriver. Oh yeah I quite like this new Doctor and Stephen Moffat's writing.
  • I believe Jack will love this new Doctor.
  • This is going to be a very fun series.
  • I also think that Amy won't be back in time for her wedding.

Oh yeah I quite enjoyed it indeed.
