Very sweet. But I think Scott was a kid before microwave popcorn was around.

Pre-83 there was no microwave popcorn. There was "Jiffy Pop, Jiffy Pop, the magic treat, as much fun to make as it is to eat." The foil covering the disposable pan expanded as the popcorn popped. That was in the 60s. Hot air poppers came along in '78.

I think this is a wonderfully loving depiction of JB and Scott. After reading JB's book, I think he would be a great -- if weird and wacky -- dad. Scott would have to be 'father' to both. Lalala

Thanks, to be fair after growing up with something you assume that it has always been like that, so to me it's like yeah you got it wrong but it doesn't matter. It's just a little detail.

So do I as I was writing this.

I know how it is.

Doesn't make the story any less sweet.

omgomgomg

I missed this due to snowpocalypse--

the shopping on special when they can afford not to, your in general style here, they're going to start a family, Scott being embarassed about the card thing, the pop corn, and He could already picture a small boy bellyflopping himself on to the couch between them. John started to tickle the boy on the tummy before blowing a raspberry. The boy’s laughter was ringing in his ears.

This was better than I imagined! WOOOOO thank you!
