Five words meme

Reply to this post by yelling "Words!" and I will give you five words that remind me of you. Then post them in your LJ and explain what they mean to you.

Snagged offverasteine who gave me:

1. Torchwood
It's my favourite sci-fi after Doctor Who. I'm like most fans and decided to check it out after seeing that Captain Jack Harkness was going to be in it. I'm still more a Doctor Who fan though but I love the uniqueness, diversity and cheekiness of Torchwood. I love the fact it has a canon gay couple. My favourite episodes are Captain Jack Harkness, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Fragments. I'm yet to see COE since it was on the same time as the tour de france this year but the DVD is due in Australia in October. So I'm yet to reserve judgment if I'm going to watch the Fourth series if there is one.

2. Drabbles
Drabbles are what I do the most in Fan Fiction. I started out writing Doctor Who drabbles fordw100 but made the switch to writing Torchwood drabbles for tw100 , late last year after finally watching series 2. For people who might not know, a drabble is an 100 word story and can be a challenge as you have to get the message across in 100 words so it pays to choose your words carefully. My master list contains a list of all the drabbles I have posted on my journal. The pairing I use the most in drabbles in Jack/Ianto but I do write drabbles with Gwen, Ianto, Tosh, Suzie and Martha using the prompts given by tw100 every week.

3. Australia
Australia is my home country and I'm glad to say I'm a very proud Aussie. I always go for Australia at sporting events though I don't care that we lost against England at the recent Ashes Test cricket match. I'm not really a fan of Australian comedy though as I love British Comedy more. There has been some great Australian comedy but it's not as good as the British stuff I own on DVD.

4. Creative Writing
Creative Writing is my hobby that I wish to make into a career. I've been writing for a long time, when I was younger it was mainly original fiction (for school and sometimes for fun) but now it basically fan fiction with the drabbles and some ficlets for Torchwood. My latest Torchwood story is All the Unborn Chicken Voices in my Head, which I'm very proud of. I really would like to publish novels and write scripts for TV.

5. John Barrowman
John Barrowman is one of my favourite actors on Television. I first saw him on an episode of the first series of New Doctor Who playing Captain Jack Harkness (though I didn't like him at the time) . Later that same year I saw him in a movie called The Producers which is one of my favourite musicals. He started to grow on me though on Torchwood and since then I've just fell in love with him. I don't mind that he is gay and he is such an entertainer. On Youtube I have seen him on other programs that don't air here in Australia including Would I lie to You, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, 8 out of 10 Cats and The Friday Night Project (or Sunday night project as it's known now). He just knows how to put a smile on your face.
