T5R Survivor - Tom Hanks Round Three
We're down to 18, and the game is already changing. Eliminated last round were Turner & Hooch, That Thing You Do!, and The Ladykillers. But now, the three groups have been merged into two, meaning that we'll be eliminating 2 movies per round instead of 3. The reason for this is simple: one of the goals of this game is to decide the community's ultimate Tom Hanks Top Five. In order to do that, we can't let any group get lower than five (because its possible that all five of the ultimate Top Five reside in the same group). 18 divides by two easily, whereas 15 doesn't, so the switch had to happen now. By going with three groups to start, we were able to shorten this tournament by two rounds, so that's cool.
