I just think it's great that he went out and got new people to join the community as a possible bulwark against our constant belittling of him, and then all the new guys tore him a new one.

I've lived down worse things before. The sad part is that was just the #5 thrown-in for conversation. Any of the the Honourable Mentions could've gone into #5, & in hindsight, should've. But I got the conversation part down.
As for your #5, I didn't feel that Norton wanted to be in the Italian Job. It looked like he didn't give much of a damn about the movie & just wanted to get a contractual obligation out of the way. Plus, it had Marky Mark in it.

People vs. Larry Flint, & I think I've only seen like 75% of that movie. Perhaps you should rent / borrow Death to Smoochy, The Score or The 25th Hour, or just bite down & see American History X. Not my favourite movie of all time, but a chilling performance nonetheless. Plus, any excuse to hate Stacy Keach is good by me.

Death to Smoochy is great for what it was. I only saw it in fullscreen though, so I might change my opinion based on that. I however have seen the movie, & am not dismissing it without having seen it.
