Top Five Really Good Wastes of Time On the Web
Howdy, y'all. I, too, found this site through Scott Keith's LJ. I think it's a pretty cool idea, and I dig the layout of this thing. Plus, the use of Eurostile (one of my favorite typefaces) gets much props from me. Way to go! But I digress...
5. Blogger®/Live Journal: I've been doing the weblog thing for almost two years, and I love it. Got a thought you wanna share with the world, even though the world might not give a f*@k? Get yerself a weblog! I got myself a free LJ account because there were several weblogs out there that I couldn't comment on without one. 3. The Break Bread Board: The message board of my favorite record label, Peanuts and Corn Records. Good little discussions happen here, with the odd catfight happening every once in a while. If indie rap music is your thing, Peanuts and Corn is rockin' it. Yup. http://p196.ezboard.com/bbreakbread
2. Turntable Lab/Kid Robot/Highspots: Three stores I can't afford to shop at. I covet practically every item they have. TTL is the place for both design and hip-hop junkies, Kid Robot sells the illest vinyl nick-nacks, and Highspots has all the stuff a wrestling geek could ask for. http://www.turntablelab.com , http://www.kidrobot.com , http://www.highspots.com
1. Gigposters.com: I've been checking this Calgary-based site for over three years now, and the folks there are kinda like family. I personally, have learned more about the print industry at gigposters.com than I have here at school (I'm a graphic design student at Red River College). There are thousands of rock/rap/whatever show posters from all over the world represented here. Clay, the owner of the site, is a freakin' genius. Gigposters.com is digital crack. http://www.gigposters.com
