Top Five Comedy Talk Show Hosts (current)

5 - Stephen Colbert. He’s brand new but his show is fantastic to say the least. His daily W0rd is always funny, and I his sarcasm is top-notch. His interviews don’t always hold my attention, but then again he’s new so perhaps with time they’ll be more enjoyable for me.

4 - Conan O’Brien. Yeah, he’s rather immature and his show doesn’t have the best budget (and the graphics prove that), but it’s good to have a show like Conan’s where the audience can just relax and get some laughs from simple humor. I never thought driving a desk would be entertaining, but Conan has that kind of magical power.

3 - David Letterman. I really like how Letterman leaves his opening monologues brief and goes right to the skits and interviews because that’s where the show shines. And like Conan, he’s rather childish but in an entertaining and not annoying way, and he freely admits whenever he makes a mistake (periodic speech bloopers), just making him more adorable.

2 - Jon Stewart. Sometimes I wonder if Jon was serious when he said, “I’m now going to stop trying,” the day after his show won the Emmys. Still, his “fake news that delivers the truth” theme makes the show so much better instead of straight up mocking people in current events. Hey, presidential candidates even bought into his show as a legit news source, he had to be doing something right.

1 - Bill Maher. Perhaps it’s just my left-wing political affiliation but this guy strikes me as the funniest and also the most intelligent and creative. He pushes the limit with his monologues and acts but doesn’t get overbearing. His New Rules is always a delight.
