My feelings on this movie are rather ambiguous. I'm really not sure how I felt about it. I know I didn't love it, nor did I hate it. I was into it while watching it, but knowing what I know about it, I'm not sure how I feel about it. I'm not going to get into what it is, or what the movie is about, because any knowledge about the true nature of the film will ruin it for future viewers. It may even make you not want to see the movie.
So my advice is if you want to see this movie, see it soon before someone blows it for you, then make up your own mind. It has some genuine chills, is immaculately shot, and is highlighted by the debut role from Bryce Dallas Howard. I think in the hands of another director, 2.5 out of 5 is the best I could give such a movie. But because it's Shyamalan, because of the way he set this film up, I'll go with a 3. For now. My opinion is still not solidified in this matter.
