So yeah, everyone else is doing it, blah blah. Whatever. I used to be a better judge of music & really into it back in the day. My interests have changed a lot, although music is still a big part of my life. I've just abandoned the music snobbery that I used to employ. So, yeah, this will be less intensive then everyone else's, more just off the top of my head.
10. So Jealous - Tegan & Sara: another album that if I sat down & listened to, could possibly rise much higher on this list.
9. All of Our Names - Sarah Harmer: like I said to Andy the Saint, I still miss opening the music store & not listening to this album. Catchy & beautiful.
8. Pressure Chief - Cake: a sentimental favourite of mine, though not their best album at all, still extremely enjoyable.
7. Tyrannosaurus Hives - The Hives: one of the few straight out rocking albums I've ever enjoyed. This is cock rock at it's finest & catchiness.
6. Has Been - William Shatner: like I care what anyone else thinks. This album has so much to it & most everyone is too close-minded to give it a chance. You're all missing out, except for Twisted Youth. He's on the ball.
5. A Ghost Is Born - Wilco: a sometimes difficult album to listen to, but always finds a way to pull you back in.
4. Joyful Rebellion - K-OS: everytime I hear it, it blows my mind how fucking good it is. If I had the opportunity to sit down & just enjoy it, rather than just hearing it at work, it could be higher.
3. Futures - Jimmy Eat World: this album might go up in ranking, but for now, it's number three, & an immensely enjoyable collection of songs.
2. Guilt Show - The Get Up Kids: probably the CD I listened to second most this year, & while not their best work, still a fucking good album.
1. American Idiot - Green Day: by far the CD I enjoyed the most this year. Well, maybe not by far, but definitely the best thing I heard all year. You can take your crappy Interpol, your annoying Modest Mouse, your screaming Rise Against, I don't need any of 'em. Gimme this CD with it's epic songs & awesomeness any day of the week.
