Top 5 movies directed by Cameron Crowe

I've now seen Say Anything and Untitled (AKA Almost Famous, the Bootleg Edition) so I can now do a top five Cameron Crowe list. I've decided that I really like Cameron Crowe movies. And I'd like to use this opportunity to send a shout out to my O.K. peeps. Or peep, as it would be, as I only know one person from Oklahoma. "Know" is a bit of a stretch too. Ah well, on to the list...

5. Singles (a charming, nice film that is unspectacular)

4. Say Anything (a good film that is chock full of eighties iconic moments. Not quite spectacular though)

3. Vanilla Sky (a spectacular film that is as beautiful as a painting. The film is so beautiful that the story gets overlooked, which is also very interesting and involving. The performances are all great, Cameron Diaz in particular, who totally commits to her filthy, filthy dialogue. 4.5 out of 5)

2. Untitled AKA Almost Famous (Spectacular! 5 out of 5. The theatrical release was a really great film. The director's cut is even better. Go check it out if you haven't)

1. Jerry Maguire (Spectacularly spectacular! One of my all-time favs. I've seen it a million times. You had me at hello)

(This posting was brought to you by the word "spectacular")
