Holy shit pretty much sums it all up, Red Sox win in 7, overcoming a 3-0 deficit to the Yankees... Well, a couple things, it's about time, those fucking yankees and their arrogant fans, and don't forget Jeter and his stupid round little face. But, I said from the beginning of the season that if the Red Sox go to the World Series, I am going. About a month and a half ago I signed up for every contest known to man to get me to the world series. This morning I received an email from Redsox.com with the subject line: "World Series Ticket Opportunity - Congratulations!"
My heart instantly dropped and I opened the email and read on:
Dear Bill,
Congratulations on being selected for the opportunity to
purchase tickets for a World Series game that may be played
at Fenway Park. We have taken extensive measures to ensure
that as many different fans as possible have the opportunity
to purchase these highly sought after tickets. This
first-come first-served online opportunity begins at 12 NOON
on Thursday, October 21 and ends at 6 p.m. (10/21)
Holy shit, I got a chance to buy tickets to see the Red Sox play in the World Series, and I can buy them right from Fenway. I was planning on going through Ebay and paying an arm and a leg for them (around $1500 for bleacher seats), but instead at 12noon I purchased 2 tickets for Sundays Game 2, sitting in the grandstand Row 5, for $140 each... I am so FUCKING excited right now....
