(no subject)
It was sooo nice to have a long 4 day weekend. We did absolutely nothing mostly. Friday we ate out at Olive Garden for the first time since our 1 year anniversary, and Sunday Jess ran her very first Half Marathon. She came in at about 3 hours and 45 minutes. Regardless of the time, she finished and I am totally proud of her. I have my own first race of 2009 coming up not this Thursday, but the following Thursday, the Corporate Challenge. 3.5 miles, which is my longest, but obviously not quite the 13 my love did. Today we lounged around, playing a game of Monopoly where I got my butt whooped, and also picked up a new cell phone for Jessica, a Blitz from Verizon. It's practically a square, but has a huuge screen and a full keyboard, and she seems happy. We also decided to try to watch the HBO show True Blood for the first time today. We liked it so much that we watched the first 5 episodes today. For those who have seen it, so far my theory is that Sam Merlotte is a werewolf, and is the one killing people. If you haven't seen this show, I hiiighly recommend it.
Also, we had our second vacation last weekend, a overnighter in Binghamton. There really is absolutely nothing to do there, at all, it's quite sad. The room was flat out amazing though, especially for a Super 8. It was tiny, but the TV was a 21-25 inch LCD, they had a faux-leather recliner, a desk with a fancy highback chair, even the bathroom was really nice with tiles on the floor, instead of some linoleum crap you usually see. We had great sex, went out for Thai food with her brother and girlfriend, and also played Monopoly, where I staged quite an inpressive comeback from near defeat, mortgaging everything I had to put houses on the parkplace/boardwalk combo and it totally paid back. Time for some sleep, hope you all had a nice long weekend!!
