“Hey, a game shop!”
Frank groaned as Joe bolted, “Aw, come on, we don’t have time for this!” Nancy caught his eye and both rolled their eyes before following him. It was just easier to let him get it out of his system sometimes.
“Cool! Playing cards!” Joe leaned forward to examine one, “What sort of game is this, anyway?” he wondered outloud.
“Duel Monsters,” Yami replied, stepping out. Frank and Nancy wandered the shop while Yami animatedly started to explain the younger Hardy. She’d just leaned over to examine a picture on one of a beautiful figure with six wings, before Yami yelled, “What are you doing to it?!”
Joe froze in the act of slipping his newly bought Flame Swordsman into his back pocket, “What?”
“You’re going to bend it!”
“Um…”
“Here,” Nancy said, “You can put it in my book for now, it won’t get bent there.”
This didn’t seem to appease the pharaoh-turned-shopkeeper, “The Flame Swordsman is not a bookmark!”
“Right…”
Frank reached over and took the card from Joe, when Yami yelled, “You have something on your fingers!” He paused, and quickly wiped his fingers and the back of the card off, very ready to back towards the door. “How dare you disrespect these cards this way, mind-”
“Yami!” All four turned to the door where a shorter version of the pharaoh stood. “I told you that you could watch the shop only if you didn’t keep scaring the customers away. Now apologize.” With much grumbling, Yami did as Yugi asked. Yugi smiled and handed Joe a card protector, “Your friends are welcome to pick a card, I’m very sorry for the…inconvenience he caused.”
Frank shook his head quickly as Nancy picked up the Wingweaver she had been admiring earlier, and the three left rather quickly. Yami braced himself for the scolding he was about to get.
