To fill in while I wait to continue Coffee Prince, I just started Mei-chan no Shitsuji! I've seen a couple people squee over it and
aliaspiral's post with caps just pushed me over the edge!
So CRACKY. I love it, my current dramas are much less crack-filled so it's nice to get back to my roots. CASTLES AND HELICOPTERS AND SLASHER CHICKS, OH MY! Plus, y'know, they all have butlers.
Oh, geez. I can't believe the sad, sad places the first ep went! I was not expecting that from the premise. Mei crying in the rain was so heartbreaking.
I love Eikura Nana, with her super-long legs and her short, short hair. She's so resilient and matter-of-fact. Also, I love how her tie isn't tied for most of the opening episode. I don't know if it's a statement or she doesn't know how to tie a tie but it was such a good character detail.
So many wacky classmates and butlers! From the first impressions, I like the HBIC (Hibari from Hana Kimi!) and her dorky butler, tiny little girl who sits on her muscular butler's shoulder, the pair of psychics and the girl in the knit hat with her Lurch-like butler. I'm looking forward to getting to know all these crazy people.
PRETTY:
There might be spoilers in the comments though, if anyone wants to dish. XD
