Preparations are coming along. I'm almost done with laundry, so I should be able to finish packing today (except for toiletries and my tennis gear). I've finally decided how I'm going to pack/transport my racquets (two in my checked suitcase, one in my carryon), and what I'm going to wear!!! I still need to write my sub plans, and that is on tap for today along with a good cardio workout and painting my toenails for the first time in about...I don't know...years?!? I run and play tennis, so there's not much I can do to make my feet look good. Then I've got two days of school to get through (it was hard enough last week...my mind wandering...it will be even tougher this week!) and then off to sunny FL! The weather forecast is excellent, couldn't ask for anything better!
My mixed partner is also playing singles, and that draw came out last night. He's going to run into a high seed in the second round, which sucks, but at least he didn't get that seed in the first round. I'm worried they will feed us to a high seed in mixed because #1 - we've never played together before, and #2 - even though I'm now a 3.5, most of these other players are 4.0 and higher.
But I plan to watch, play, and learn...and someday return!!!
