Not that you'll have a lot of option, most likely, but really there's no especially good place to live on grounds if you're not a first year. Bascially all places are a tradeoff between quality of living arrangments and distance. A good local maximum is Bice/German House or one of the Spanish, French or ??? language houses. Other than that:
- Hereford or Gooch/Dillard are relatively close, but prison-like and squalid, respectively (however, the odds of getting a single are high). - Lambeth is nice, has a kitchen that is only shared by your apartment (4-6 people), but a little bit of a hike, and you have to share a room. - Copeley has all the advanages of Lambeth, is slightly nicer and walking distance from groceries, but you more or less have to take the bus to get to class, and that takes like 30 minutes. Also, Copeley is kinda loud as all the athletes live there and party there. - Brown is a major bonus, as the rooms are big, it's like 2 minutes to walk to any class, and you get a room mostly to yourself (the layout is interesting, in that your "roommate" either has to walk through your room to go to the bathroom or to get out of the apartment), however, it's relatively selective, and the applications have already been reviewed, AFAIK.
I don't know much about the IRC (International Residence College), but have heard it can be hit-or-miss in terms of quality, but it is slightly closer than Lambeth. I know *nothing* about Faulkner, except that I presume it is very similar in most ways to Copeley.
