you may have seen these before, but these tshirts are awesome. my favorites are dysentery, what wouldn't jesus do, and the pirate pickup line one. but a lot of them are cool.

and on another note entirely, sometimes people really scare me. honestly it just takes my breath away; i'm naive enough to find it truly shocking. more shocking that he has followers. i especially like how he implies that attacks on his followers - which he calls a holocaust - were worse than nazi crimes, and how he refers to catholics as "the meanest, most hateful people on Earth." and the "Either our wives are going to obey, or we're going to beat them!" and the protests of Sept 11 rescue efforts. how can there be people like this?

one part did make me laugh, though - he says the columbia astronauts went to hell "as a punishment for not using their position of astronauts to speak out against homosexuality." what?

what gets me is not so much the fact that his opinions appall me, though they do. it's the fact that he's utterly illogical and contradictory and crazy, and yet people follow him. he has a flier that says "Thank God for Tsunami and 20,000 dead Swedes!!!" all else aside.. tsunami.. and swedes? not, yknow, indonesians or anything. swedes.

"Also, the length and incoherence of many of his recent sermons, as well as a large number of bizarre claims (including 'George Bush worships Mr. Peanut, whose name is the great God Goober'), suggest to many that he is suffering from Alzheimer's disease, senility, or has suffered brain damage due to his amphetamine and barbiturate addiction in the 1960s."

anyway, i'm tired and i can't breathe. off to bed and the attempt to salvage the scraps of my faith in humanity.
