I read you graphicdesign forum post... I'm curious, you might lose your job or you are worried your company might do layoffs?

Just worried that my company will do more layoffs. They already did first round of layoffs last month. And most of our clients are financial and luxury company. Now the economy is in recession, it will be tough in coming months.

How's your company doing? I saw the dog show on thanksgiving day, did your company involve in that?

My company is non-profit and we haven't been hit(thank god) by this recession. Work is ok and they recently discovered all these other things I know how to do so i've been pretty invaluable here. That's always good. I think they are worried I might be leaving....

You must be talking about the Philadelphia Dog Show/National Dog show that was on NBC. I did some ads for it. The 2 shows I do a ton of work for are The AKC/Eukanuba National Championship on Long Beach, CA and The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. It's pretty neat designing some of it cause my boss is really cool. I get a lot of free reign design-wise through most of it. I also started designing stuff for the DVD of the upcoming movie Marley & Me which gets released in theaters on christmas day. When the DVD gets released later next year, i designed the Public Service Announcements in the DVD case.

Cool, Marley & Me looks like a fun movie. Yeah, I think I am tired of doing financial design. I don't care if I get layoff, if I do, I can have time to update my portfolio.
