I haven't updated in far too long! So here it all is really quickly:

Tueday after faire closed, I took Laura back to Beloit, got stuff arranged for my certification and got to sit and talk with Maddi. It was nice. Stopped at the Belvidere Oasis and locked my key in the car. I called AAA and was made to wait for two excrusiatingly long hours. That was of course after my battery died on me. Point is, I eventually got home.

Thursday, Carolyn from the school I taught at last semester called and offered me a three day subbing position. I was excited and took it. Maddi let me stay with her, though my stuff ended up in Laura's room and I ended up staying with her. It was many laughs. Saw Crystal the following Thursday and had much fun at lunch and shopping for fabric at JoAnn's.

Went to Celtic Fest with Mom on Saturday and saw a bunch- 5 1/2- of people. (1/2 because one was a baby.) It was a lot smaller than I had expected. But it was pretty good. I went off to get Mom a bottle of water and when I came back she said some guy had given it to her because he and his girlfriend were leaving. I later gave that ticket to Gwen and Fiona because Mom and I were leaving. I wanted a chocolate covered funnel cake! While we were enjoying our measly sheepheard's pie, some woman who looked like she had a few beers came up and asked, "Can I buy you ladies a beer?" Mom and I kindly said no. She asked if we were sure and when we said we were, she patted my shoulder and turned to go, but as soon as she was out of earshot, we started laughing, especially Mom. We couldn't really help ourselves. The situation was hilarious.

We then headed off to Marshal Field's. Mom got her 20% off card, so I got socks. She got make-up and a belt. She almost went for a fun metal one, but it was being mean and kept falling off of her, so she put it back. While we were in the belt section, some woman walked up and offered us her 20% off card because she was leaving. We thanked her and said no and headed to leave as well after we got the belt. I checked out a bracelet I could make and we then turned to go. We had just missed the bus and I started teasingly yelling at Mom for having talked over me and delayed us and made us miss the bus. It took a while, but we caught the next one and sat down and started blabbing like we do. A woman got on the bus and started talking to Mom. It turns out they used to work in the same building. Now, the woman works at the counter of Patricia Locke, a local jewelry designer. The woman gave me an entire blue print of how to launch my jewelry career. That was exciting. So I am going down to see her today.

Then, while I've been working away on all this jewelry, I got a call from Francis Parker School to set up an interview to become a Drama sub for them. Needless to say, I was excited. So we'll see how the rest of today goes.... (Only downside is that I have a headache that keeps moving all over my head)
