XNA GameFest London 2008 was yesterday (or the day before?) Sigraph 2008 starts in 3 days. Nvidia's NVision is at the end of the month. I'm pretty sure there's a few other developers conferences this month that I'm forgetting. Suffice to say, there should be lots of great geeky things announced this month.

Some neat stuff I've read about that's gonna be shown off: OpenGL 3.0's finallised spec; a slew of haptic/tactile user interface devices, including one labelled as something along the lines of "Airbourne Ultra-Sound Tactical Display" which basically means Ultra-Sound is used to create pockets of preasure in mid air which you can actually feel through touch and interact with as an input device; Two Dimensional Communication which allows power and data to be transfered to devices through mear contact with the sheet; a new shadowing mapping technique and no doubt a shed load more. Always interesting to see what comes out of these things.
