There's Rosewater and the Lakeview, but as Roque pointed out, a body of water is really needed to make those work... besides, they're huge. That's a project for maybe someday if we have our own sim, I'm thinking. Alternately, a separate Venus Tears could be built without doing the entire Lakeview-- to get in you'd have to enter through a 'basement' fire door (and there'd perhaps be a teleporter that goes 'up' to room 312?... Ah, pipe dreams. :) Jack's Inn is a place where folks could certainly be social together. But the purpose would be pretty... obvious. ._. And who knows, there might constantly be strangers wanting to stop by and use the place. If we could figure out a way to charge them a small fee per use, that'd be one thing. But then again, unless they're Silent Hill fans, why would they want to pay for a place that looks like Jack's... hm. I'm not even going to mention the hotels from 1, because they're even plainer and also lower-res. You can't get a good feel for them, really.
So that kinda leaves the other places which aren't geared toward social activity but would be very cool to build. Vincent has mentioned Brookhaven-- I'd be voting for the SH2 version, but I'd understand if he went with 3 or with some hybrid of the two. :) Other places that could conceivably be built, in my opinion: the Historical Society (finally we'd get to see what's behind those locked doors); the Labyrinth (shudder)... I'd love to see some places from 1, but again, it's such an old game, trying to texture it might be a problem. the one exception I could see would be the lighthouse, which I always found the most compelling setting in that game... There are places from 3 like Harry's apartment-- so depressing!-- and the mall, subway or business center, which would be both huge and incredibly boring, as in the game.
Then there's 4. Henry's apartment, natch. The various worlds... it'd be tremendously cool to see them, but again, they're huge and it would take lots of effort to recreate them. I suppose the Water Prison would be the one I could actually see being a structure on SL. But then Fuckbake would want to make an alt avatar as Walter and go around shooting and/or exposing himself to people. It could get complicated. :3
All just my idle thoughts, I guess; believe me, I can appreciate how many projects you already have going. Right now I can't see myself owning land or building things, but that could change. In the meantime, there's also the possibility of "enhancements" to the current properties. :) Any room for a mini-dungeon in the basement of HN? Nothing so elaborate as the one in Le Cadre, just a room where certain equipment could be placed, perhaps textured with walls from other settings in the games? There was a club I went to in New York once, where upstairs there was dancing and downstairs more... violent activities went on. ^^ Just a thought, anyway. I've no idea how much space the building might have.
Wow, this turned into a novel. Sorry. I'm just so in love with your Heaven's Night, it puts all kinds of thoughts in my head!

Privacy, though, may be a concern. I'm divided on the idea of doing risque play or outright sex on the ground, even within the confines of a building. Having spied on my neighbor quite a few times during his virtual flings by simply using the free-roaming camera has really opened my eyes to the fact that there is no real privacy in SL.
However, if one flies up above 500 (or, say, makes a little hovering dungeon in the sky), your little green dot doesn't show on the map. This provides some measure of freedom from spying eyes, as long as they don't know where exactly in the sky one is hiding!
What are your thoughts on this? Do you happen to care if someone is watching you have virtual sex? *grins*

I'd love to figure out a feasible way to rent the rooms to people! I know it can be done! I've seen quite a few places doing this, and even allowing tenants a certain prim allotment for their rooms.
Random thoughts: A Pyramid Head avatar needs to be made. And someone needs to make a radio complete with on/off switch and various static sounds (which play when clicked). And holy crap would I love to see a Dahlia avatar! I'd so make a gyromancy animation for her!
