last night, as my mother went to bed, she couldn't find our dog, Vada. she called for her many times but Vada never came running. she ended up going to bed thinking, "I'll hear her if she shows up at the door later". when my mom woke up at 2:30am Vada wasn't waiting at the door or in her dog house on the porch. after calling a few times with, again, no answer, my mom went back to bed. as my mom was readying herself for the day she decided to call the neighbors to leave a message, "I'm just worried about Vada, i haven't seen her since yesterday afternoon. if you see her, would you call so i know she's okay?". Vada often likes to play down at their house with the kids. only half an hour later, at 8:30, my mom receives a phone call from the 12 year old girl, Jamie. "Mrs. Hayes?... we found Vada. i'm so sorry..... it's my fault," my mom is close to histerics thinking that our dog is dead. "Is she okay....?!" Jamie tells her story, "My brothers and i were making a movie and we thought it would be really cool if Vada was in it too. So we put her in the car with the boys. When we finished the movie we went inside.... well, we forgot that Vada was in the car. she was in the car all night..." my mom asks again, "oh, okay... so is she still in the car? should i come get her?"
"uh, no. she's on her way up to your house... she looks hungry."

the stupid girl lead my mom to believe that she killed our dog by leaving her in the car all night.... my poor mom probably had about three minor heart attacks in that conversation. i love my doggy and i'm very happy that she's not rotting in a car.
