Rampantly raging plot bunnies and potential travel plans.

First off - the damn bunnies are bouncing about on hyperdrive! (Well, for me, anyway! LOL)
I'm sitting there, minding my own business, trying to do a reading for my course, and every line I read is causing bunnies to do popcorn impressions in the back of my brain ... making it hard to concentrate on the readings, that's fer darn sure :P Right, so I decide to let that potential plotline percolate in the back of my brain (gosh I'm in quite the alliterative mood today, apparently :P) ... I go to visit Kara on Sunday, and am innocently rocking along with David Cook in my car, when *BAM* plot bunnies start going at it again. Geesh. Then yesterday I'm heading back from Mich's, again with DC, and the bunnies started smoothing out the random ideas into a semi-coherent storyline! Apparently driving with good tunes is dangerous for the sanctity of my current fics :P Although that being said, I have managed to complete the first draft of my latest SG fic, so I guess the bunnies were getting bored back there... *grin*

As for the potential travelling plans, I decided for a lark to check out Westjet flights to Vancouver. I had planned, before becoming part of the umemployed masses, to fly out for a week to visit a couple of friends, and just happen to coincide my trip for when the con was on out there, so as to be able to sched a meet with some other friends who would be travelling from all over to be at the con. (I know, terribly clever of me! Hehehe...) I found GREAT priced flights, so I immediately send messages to the two friends I'm supposed to be visiting. One got back to me a few days ago, and said the timing sounded great, but she'd have to doublecheck with her roomie. Totally fair enough :P I just spoke with the other one, who said to definitely go for it, and she'd try to arrange for some time off in there as well, which'd be totally rock-worthy of course ... so I mosey on over to Westjet to check on the flight again. My seat sales are gone :( There are still seatsales going, and if I book it now, the trip'll only cost me about $50 more for the flights than if I had booked it when I first found the flights, so still fairly doable ... so now I need to discuss it with my folks and make sure they're def both aware and okay with me going for my trip. (My mom's having day surgery 2 days before I'd be leaving, so the timing might be a tad off :s hence me needing to check with them to be sure...) Oh, and tell my course instructors as well, of course. I'm fairly sure I'll be able to access the internet while I'm gone, but I will want to try to have as many assignments and whatnot done beforehand as possible!

So yes, that's what's going on with the ames atm.
And now, off to do some more schoolwork! *waves*
