Yep, the title says it all, a very busy weekend. Saturday night, Me, Chris, and Ekim had a worship jam session in Chris' basement. Man, it was awesome, guitars, bass guitars everywhere, and a drum. Man, we praised God in one of the most honest ways, it felt awesome. We especially felt God while singing the song "One Name Under Heaven." It was awesome singing that song, one that we sing a lot at CSF back at Western. Man, I miss being there. After jamming, we went to Shoe Carnival to see NIcole, since she works like 300 hours a week now. We hung out with her, and Ekim even bought some shoes with her discount. We then walked over to PizzaHut where Ekim works. We then made a Meijer run to buy drinks since all of us were thirsty. Ekim had to leave, so Chris and I watched The Sanlot.AWESOME MOVIE!!!! Man, that movie brings back memories.
Sunday, Chris and I went to church together. They had a guest preacher and a guest musician. WOW!!! The guy could sing. He was awesome, praising God with his gift that God gave him. I then helped a little with Sunday school, where they were having new incoming sixth graders. At first, the kids were really quiet, but by the end of the morning, they were loud and not listening to Chris...lol. He did a couple games, like Human Bingo and cutting holes into paper, because "We are to be Holy" We then went back for Traditional service, which was really cool. Man, I like that church. Later that afternoon, we met at Starbucks, and ended up going out to Senecea Park to meet up with Amanda for a little bit. We then drove out to Bowman Field (like, five minutes away...haha) and hung out with CHris' dad and some of his coworkers.I got to see their plane, which was awesome. Chris' dad took a couple pictures with us around.
Later that night, I made my return to the Vine after a one week hiatus...lol. WOW!! Jim Burgen came to speak, one of the guys that helped get the Vine started in the first place. Esther's Request was there jamming too. Burgen talked about how so many of us run from God's will, just as with Jonah and God wanting him to go preach to Ninevah. Near the end, Jim made a challenge for any that were runners to stand up. It was awesome seeing so many people standing, wanting to leave their running behind them. Then people that were standing got up and prayed for all thsoe that didn't want to be runners anymore. It was awesome. The Vine went well over an hour and a half, it was so powerful. Well, that's lots of typing for me, carpel tunnel is starting to actup a little. I hope to add a few pics soon.
