I think it's all part of the evolutionary process. Just think, life wasn't always this easy, and furthermore, this easy life we have is only availiabe for a select few on this earth. The "inner-world" you talk about seems like a concept that has only been materialized in the past couple hundred years, mostly during the 20th century. We build walls, make more cells, create a bigger distance between us and those who suffer. This is definitley a modern and post-modern scenario that is most true in developed countries. When I look out my window, I see an incredibly synthetic world. It's a world that is so easy for me to live in. Though, to call this synthetic world unnatural would be a mistake. After all, human beings are animals who have always been forced to act within the confines of nature. Our tools are just so advanced now that it creates an illusion that we are using super-natural capabilities. Anyway, your post was very thought provoking and I could talk about this for hours. That first paragraph about us all living simultaneously was awesome. I mean, if you view human beings as having a collective consciousness, with a few variations, that would definitley be true. In fact, I think it is true. Good job Fahed. You should post stuff like this more often.
