Ok, so here's the skinny on my time at home :)
Wednesday:
We land around 3pm and finally get in to the Combetta's house around 4pm. We're starving, Dad C is starving, so we go out to dinner at Docs. It was lovely! After dinner, Sarah, Paul, and I all go to Men's Warehouse so Paul can try on his tux and make any neccisary changes if need be. We then head back to the house where Sarah, Mom and I put together a list of all the things that need to be accomplished over the next 2 days for the wedding. We're on track and doing good :P
Thursday:
Get up rather early and head over to Farmington and have breakfast with Dad S. It was great. Sat at Col's (used to be Cole's but someone forced them to change their name) Coney Island talking about jobs, and siblings, and all that great stuff. We then head to CVS to get some odds and ends needed for the wedding and the rehearsal before making it over to the Combetta's to help Dad C move the last of the stuff over to the hall. After that I get to meet Grandma D's sister Rose, and then cousins of Mom C's that are just hysterical. It was really nice. Before we know it, it's time to head to the church to do the rehearsal.
We get to the church and Paul and I finally get to meet Steve (a friend on WoW) face ot face! He's just as he is in game and on the phone. Love him! We get MOST of the kinks worked out, but the coordinator wasn't a professional by any means, and so it left us with some questions that Sarah and Mom C worked out later that night. It was a good rehearsal though.
From there we went to The Villa for dinner. Paul and I sat with the Kloster side of the family which was really nice. Got to chat with Mrs. Kloster as well as Steve, the Best Man Alex, the Maid of Honor Kristen and her bf Ricky. Good margarita's and great food, how can you go wrong!? Steve, Paul and I decided we were hitting up a bar after that and dragged Carl, 2 of his friends from CA, and Ricky out with us. Fun was had :P
Friday:
Up way to early again! :P We stop by Meijer and grab nylons, bagels, and cream cheese before heading over to the Combetta house. Mom C is off at the hall with all the grooms side of the family finishing up the decorations. We kinda have breakfast and chill out. Sarah and I head off for her hair appointment where we meet the cutest puppy! OMG TO DIE FOR! We get done there with just enough time for us to grab subway and head to the house to pack everything up to go to the church.
Going to the chapel and we're gonna get married!
We get to the church and start to get ready. I meet Brandon (also WoW) such a cutie! We do photo's where I proceed to have a breakdown at how beautiful Sarah is and how I'm so excited and proud of her. The guys do their photos too. Then Carl and Sarah have a moment together and the show gets on the road!
The ceremony was faster than my wedding! OMG it was fast, but very very nice. The only funny part was that they were announced as "Mr & Mrs Carl and SHARON Combetta" LOL That will go down in the books as a memory, that's for sure!
We all head to the hall, running through the rain. The food was awesome, and the partying even better. The hall was gorgeous. Mom and Sarah did an awesome job picking out all the decorations. We partied hard and made it home around 1am.
Saturday:
Up even earlier than all the days before and head to Farmington where Heather, Scott, Paul and I are taking Mom and Chris out to Frankenmuth for their birthdays. We went over to Bronners, picked up some ornaments (since we'll not be home for the holidays and will have a tree here this year). We even found Brandon's xmas gift. It's too perfect! Lunch was great. I love the Weiner Shnitzel (if that's spelled right). So good, and that fruit bread stuff.....YUM!
We race back to Farmington as Scott as to work at 2pm and then chill out with Mom S for a couple hours before heading over to Spaldings. We end up taking Spalding and her friend Shane out to Max & Erma's to celebrate Spaldings 25th Birthday that was Friday. Good time there, as always. Gotta love Spalding :) 21 years I have known that girl...crazy!
Once done it's back to Warren.
Sunday:
Carl, Sarah, Mom & Dad C, Grandma, Paul, myself, and Mom S all head out to brunch at Big Boy. It was a great chance for my mom to catch up with the Combetta's. After brunch we hung out at the Combetta's until it was time to head to the airport. We said our goodbyes and Mom S took us out.
It was an amazing weekend home. Congratulations again to Carl and Sarah!
