I wanna roll you up into my life.
So I'm going down to Amelia for thanksgiving with Emily. It looks to be a fun time, I think.
I'm currently counting down the days left here at the baymont. Including the overnight shift I'm on right now, I have 3 days of work here left. I called wednesday the 9th through the 17th off for vacation. Its actually 2 days off, 5 days of vacation and two more days off, the company has a weird policy about vacation not being used for OT, so I I get 9 days off. I totally planned that to coincide with my leaving the hotel, and it just worked out too perfectly for words. :) Dave (my manager) spent saturday here with his laptop applying to better jobs. Its like a sinking fucking ship over here. It was beautiful, on friday, just after I put in my 2 weeks, he emailed the district manager, and I got to write a response to the question, "What are his reasons for leaving?" I got to totally tell a person in a position of power just how shitty of a job they were doing with no fear of repercussions. I actually used the phrase, "You and everyone else in upper management obviously have no idea how to run a hotel." I was quite brutal, as well as quite explicit in pointing out that it was absolutely nothing Dave did that prompted my leaving.
Anywho...
I printed out a bunch of papercraft, and I think I may get some writing done here in a bit. Ugh, I just saw a fat man with no shirt on out in the lobby. I am SO glad I've got a new job. :-D
