Monday...
As of right now, I have not been summoned home yet. I am grateful, yet disappointed, to learn that my uncle and his "lady" friend left for Hawaii on Saturday and will be there for 2 weeks. I am grateful that his "lady" friend will not be able to attend. I am disappointed however, that my uncle can enjoy a sunny Hawaiian vacation while his ex-wife is dying of cancer. If anything, he could have been there for his daughter. What a terrible person.
But to talk about something less depressing, my photo/performance professor managed to top himself with weird video for us to watch. The first hour was fine, we watched a movie on William Wegman. He was the guy behind the dogs wearing clothing and acting out the ABC's on Sesame Street. The second half we watched a very odd video by Matthew Barney. This is the first minute from it. And then this is a montage someone made and put to some different music or something, weird stuff. Sometimes I love that class, sometimes I hate it, and sometimes it just blows my mind.
My counselor tells me there's no assistantships that she knows of. Damn. My hopes for next year are to work in either the library, the coffee shop by my apartment, or the textbook/bookstore by my apartment. I wish I had a car.
I am going to dye my hair some sort of brown color soon though :)
