I thought I'd busted the bridge. All I wanted to do was re-string the Strat and go back to playing.... but as I played a chord it would immediately kick it out of tune. After trying to tune it several times I glanced down and noticed the bridge lifting at a very odd angle from the body. Panicked, I loosened the strings and took it to the local shop the next morning. They were busy and said they'd take a look at it and could I swing by the next day for it.
Thursday dawned and I got ready for work, and headed down to the shop to pick up my guitar. When I walked in I was greeted enthusiastically as the guitar I had ordered a week and a half ago had arrived 4 days early. Eagerly we tore the tape off, opened the case, and promptly began to play with it. After racing to the bank to transfer the fundage needed to purchase it, I flew back, paid for the guitar and headed to work.
Not much work got done that day.... There may be a youtube video at some point of me playing American Idiot at work on one of the demo amps... Just waiting for David to upload it.
As silly as it sounds, I just have to decide on a name.....
Arrived just in time for a 3 day weekend......
Oh, and the Strat is good. Just a new spring added..
