So this weekend was kind of busy...
On Friday I had to get up no later than 4pm so I could go to the bank and deposit my paycheck. After that I decided to go buy a new backpack.
It's the Maxxum by Swiss Gear. One of my coworkers has it and she absolutely loves it. I went online to amazon and saw the same thing; everyone who owns one loves it.
While I was at Office Depot I bought some folders, printer paper and a notebook, aka school supplies.
After leaving there I went and did a little grocery shopping and then wen to Dick's Sporting Goods to buy a new water bottle. I wanted the hard plastic kind that is so popular these days.
Then it was off to the produce store for some apples and bananas. While I was there I noticed they were sponsoring a wine tasting event. I haven't been to one of those in a long time. It might be fun but it will probably be a bunch of old people considering that is the demographic that shops at that particular produce market.
Saturday was my cousin Earl's 60th (surprise) birthday party. It was really nice seeing everyone there and catching up with people I haven't seen since one of the last few funerals. I think we were out of there no later than 9pm. Parties in my family sure aren't what they used to be.
On the drive home I stopped at the Best Buy near my house to buy a replacement iPod sync cable. Somehow mine managed to disappear. I think I brought it with me on my trip to Chicago in January and it was lost then. I will try not to make that mistake again considering a new cable was $20.
Which brings us to today. I just finished registering for classes. I'm so happy neither of them were filled. This means that I have a really good shot at being in the 2011 RN class.
For the spring semester I'm taking General Biology on Mondays and Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:10 and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 to 9:13. And during the summer semester I'm taking Anatomy & Physiology I on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:00 to 2:07 and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 to 3:10.
The bad thing is that I will need to repeat general biology at a later date and take the one that will transfer to a university. The single semester king does not transfer and is only useful for getting me into the A&P course which gets me on the nursing school's waiting list asap.
Oh yeah, and I was double billed by the stupid online payment system. It's not as if I clicked on the submit button multiple times or something. Oh well, I'll just have to go over there tomorrow and have them refund me the money.
