I was sittin here listenin to "Salival" when "You Lied" came on. It brought back memory of a girl i moved 1700 miles for last year who broke my heart after 8 months. anyway, here is the poem inspired by tool...feedback appreciated.
You Lied

Said you never would,
take me for granted.
Said you would never,
hurt me.
I believed this,
put forth my trust,
that you would hold to those.
Thing that hurt most,
was that I gave,
my heart and soul.
8 months later,
low and behold,
all the things you had promised,
seemed to dissapear.
In a flash,
without rhyme or reason.
Taken for granted,
after all I had done,
all I had given.
All that was said,
nothing more than words,
out of your mouth.
Into oblivion,
my heart spiraled,
down a hole I did not wish,
to see again.
You took me,
my trust,
my heart,
my soul,
all for granted...
You lied.
