So last nite was wierd.. got to the bar and nobody was there(including the bartender), sat outside with happy/micah/charlie for like 1.5 hours till one of the bartenders finally showed up, set the decks up, and within 20 minutes of spinning the place was packed even tho it had been closed not 30 minutes before.. Nice spot?
Anyways, sound system IS truly a bitch @ kingman's, however one can cheat by mixing entirely in the headphones, which is what we did all nite. Next time I'm bringing a small stereo and speaker to sit by the dex.
Some guy kept harrassing charlie and happy's friends, which you can read all about in her journal entry, but apparently the karma bug got him back cause happy saw him down the street with his bike on the ground and 2 cops trying to pick it up after the party..
that's it for now, I gotta go out to the east bay and fix my sister's new hyundai so time to be human..
Oh, and as for the topic.. I've found a D&B forum that the professionals all post on, no seriously I was just reading a post by Dylan, it's wierd being able to just shoot the shit with the top D&B producers in the world.. Anyways, the site also has a dubplates section where producers put their dubplates in real audio format for others to sample and get an idea of what the good DJs are playing out right now and man.. just follow this link..
