Haha, well it seems wherever Jason is Lil is around as well because she wasn't planned, haha! Yeah, I sorta can't believe that one came out of Erin's mouth either...but I love that it did, lol! I think, if Erin and Lil continue to run into each other, they'll have a begrudging respect for each other.

I couldn't believe my luck in finding out what the lilacs meant per color, haha! Yeah...I figure that the cheating on Jason wasn't intentional (Erin's not cruel like that) but still the ouch was there big time...and then, of course, karma came back and David slept with her roommate. I think they do come to some kind of understanding in their way (Jason did end up sending her the flower, haha), but what was there in all their youths is beyond repairing. A great deal is the city, and a great deal is themselves...they each made choices that have some hardcore consequences.

The Sam thing is getting interesting because, from the way things are forming, it seems unlikely that they can get him out legitimately but, haha, there are probably going to be a fair number of people helping in one way or another so he can escape.

I'm quite glad you liked this piece! It was really very interesting to write these two and explore them in the Noir...Strauss especially because in most the other pieces she's been doing the tough chick thing and here she got to be very vulnerable.

Erin vulnerability is a good thing : )

I love the idea of she and Lil begrudgingly respecting each other. I can see Lil wanting to cut her for hurting Jason even if it was a long time ago, but Jason would put the kibosh on that. I also dont see Erin be an intentional cheater, I can see Dave being a seducer (especially as you write him in this universe) and then just discarding her. Love how she got the roommate back though, so Erin when she's at her wounded worse.

Google helps me find all that stuff, I found the same thing about roses and I think lilacs for an old Gideon/Prentiss piece I wrote.

Poor Sam. How can he run the diner if he's a fugitive? Oh well, I'll be interested to see how that story turns out.

Well I think both ladies like the others' fearlessness and boldness, haha! Yeah, Lil's first thought if she heard about what Erin did to Jason in the past would be to cut her up but, haha, Jason would never allow such a thing. Heehee, yeah, I don't think he does it to be an ass, necessarily, I just think he presumes its "a good time" and they think its a relationship (he never clarifies to avoid a fight and then, well, bigger problems ensue), haha! I think David she's a touch more lenient with because she's known him and his nature virtually since childhood but he did hurt her...she just happened to focus that hurt and anger on the other woman and Erin's not a girl to fuck over, haha!

Well the diner itself is gone so he'd have to open a new one if he went back to that. ...I'm really not sure how he'll move on and live as a fugitive though...not yet anyway...we'll see, haha!
